Steering Committee Members
A Steering Committee of the Regional Working Group was tasked with developing a Conservation Plan and ensuring its implementation through creation of the America’s Longleaf Initiative as an umbrella for the collaborative efforts of many stakeholders.
The Steering Committee of the Regional Working Group includes:

- Tim Ivey, Southeastern Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies

- Lark Hayes, Southern Environmental Law Center (currently serving as Coordinator)
- Rick Hatten, Southern Group of State Foresters
- Rob Sutter, The Nature Conservancy
